Welcome to TICEC 2025, the premier international conference dedicated to advancing the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This year’s event will bring together leading researchers, industry professionals, and academics to explore the latest innovations, share cutting-edge research, and discuss ICT’s practical challenges and future directions.

Join us with workshop from October 16-17, 2025, to drive forward the frontiers of technology and innovation. We invite submissions for workshops at TICEC 2025, designed to deliver intensive, high-value sessions on cutting-edge topics to the research community. These workshops are pivotal in fostering a highly collaborative environment, encouraging networking and knowledge exchange among researchers from around the globe.

Workshops will encompass the presentation of scientific papers alongside theoretical and practical activities pertinent to the conference’s focus areas. This platform offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage in deep discussions, share innovative ideas, and tackle practical challenges in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

We encourage you to submit your workshop proposals by 29 June 2025. Don’t miss the chance to contribute to and participate in TICEC 2025.

  • Format Requirement: Submissions are accepted in PDF format only.
  • Submit: Send your PDF proposal to the conference email ticec@cedia.org.ec with the subject CALL FOR WORKSHOPS.

A workshop submission must be prepared (up to 4 pages, including references). It must be submitted by email to ticec@cedia.org.ec by June 29th as a single PDF file. It must contain the following components:

  • Title and brief abstract (ca. 100 words)
  • Background: Provide a strong rationale for the workshop, describe the issues to be addressed, and state concrete goals for the
  • Organizers: Present the organizers’ backgrounds, including the main contact
  • Website: Provide details of the planned website.
  • Pre-Workshop Plans: State your plans for recruiting and community-building (e.g., through a website or other communication with participants).
  • Workshop Structure: Explain in detail the workshop structure, including the activities you are planning, their timing, and the resources you will need.
  • Post-Workshop Plans: State your plans for follow-up and creation of tangible outcomes (e.g., poster presentation, publication of a workshop report, plans for a special issue of a journal).
  • Call for Participation: Provide a 250-word Call for Participation that will be posted on the conference website to recruit participants for your workshop. This should appear at the end of your Extended Abstract and should include the following:
    • The format and goals of the workshop
    • The participant selection criteria
    • Requirements for position papers (e.g., topics to address, page length, format)
    • Where these papers should be submitted
    • The requirement is that at least one author of each accepted position paper must attend the workshop and that all workshop participants must register for both the workshop and the main conference.
    • If your workshop is accepted, your final extended abstract should include a link to the workshop
  • References: Please add any relevant references within the 4-page

As part of the online submission process, submitters will be asked to also provide the following to help the jury and chairs understand the logistical constraints of the proposed workshop:

  • Duration of the Workshop (half day or full day)
  • Audience size: what is the preferred audience size? If you believe your workshop should be limited to a certain number for optimal effect, please state so. The minimal number of attendees is 15 (organizers not included).
  • Workshop history: if the proposed Workshop has been organized previously, describe where it was given, the evaluation it received from attendees, and how it will be
  • Student Volunteers: specify and justify student volunteer help for your
  • Audio/visual needs: TICEC can generally provide a projector, screen, computer audio, and podium
  • Promotional strategy: a description of your advertising/promotional strategy for attracting attendees

Each proposal will be evaluated by at least three regular members of the Program Committee or two senior members of the Steering Committee. Proposals will be judged on:

  • Originality: Is the workshop related to the conference’s topics and provides relevant new insights to the attendees?
  • Engagement: The agenda for the workshop includes an attractive list of activities for the attendees.
  • Significance: The call for papers is relevant for the Workshop and the conference general Track.
  • Quality: The workshop team has a relevant presence in the field of study.
  • Clarity: The proposal has realistic activities and objectives.
  • Relevance: Directly addresses one or more of the conference’s themes.

  • Commitment: The workshop team is committed to carrying on the mentioned workshop inside the TICEC 2025.
  • Authorship: The workshop will use the same graphic design for its publicity and calls.
  • Registration Policy: Registration for the conference includes participating in the workshops.
  • Publication Rule: The call for papers must provide high-quality proceedings to publish the accepted articles of the participants.
